After being held scoreless for most of their nonconference meeting with East Moline, the host Irish got offensive late for 3-0 victory.
Michael Schrader’s goal at 66:02 put Notre Dame (7-2-1) on the scoreboard. A pair of quick-strike goals by Vince Cicciarelli (at 75:12 and 75:27) provided insurance for Notre Dame, which outshot East Moline 18-1.
“We were knocking on the door all night,” ND coach Mike Bare said.
