Notre Dame falls 2-1 to Chaminade College Prep

For the second night in a row, the Notre Dame boys soccer team found itself among the nation’s elite.

And for the second night in a row, the Irish came away with a positive result.

Facing one of the nation’s premier prep teams in Chaminade College Prep, the host Irish more than held their own Saturday night at Shea Stadium.

And while the end result wasn’t the one that they had hoped for coming in, ND’s 2-1 loss to the defending Missouri state champs could go a long way in helping the Irish close the gap as they look to put themselves in the same category as the Red Devils, who are ranked No. 7 in the nation by ESPN RISE.
